Philosophy

The purpose of this mission team is simple:
"Go into all the world and make disciples..."
We don't go out to build someone a house, we are not construction workers.  Those kind of missions have their place, but this team is different.  This team trains all year in personal evangelism, prayer, and spiritual warfare.

The lost do not come to us, we go to them, and share with them Christ, the only way to salvation.

The way the team is organized is loosely based on the U.S. military.
The reason? We believe we are at war...
The world is in darkness.  We have the light.
They try, but they can't stop us.
God once asked, "Who will go for us? Whom shall I send?"
Here we are... send us...

 Overview
Basic Training Every army has it.  So does this one.  Every recruit goes through a 6-session course on the basics of being a disciple, including personal time in prayer and Bible reading.  You can't be an effective soldier if you don't know how to use your weapon.
SpecialForces #1
Rangers
The Ranger motto: "Search and Destroy"
This group in comprised of those who have completed basic training and have chosen the path of the prayer warrior.  Each student will complete a 6-session course on the different types of prayer.  Each week, they put what they have learned into practice, doing regular prayer walks in neighborhoods that are about to be evangelized by the other special forces team.  We know the enemy has strongholds in peoples lives, so this group searches for those, and destroys them by the awesome firepower of prayer.

Special Forces #2       Delta Force

The Delta Force motto: "Search and Rescue"
This group are the evangelism elite.  After learning a wide variety of witnessing techniques, including "Share Jesus Without Fear," these well-trained soldiers go door-to-door, practicing what they have learned.  After the Rangers bombard a neighborhood with their prayer walks, the Delta Force comes in to rescue those who are lost by sharing the Gospel of Christ with all who would listen.  This team has seen some real successes in their mission.  To them, however, every mission is a success, for they believe that just to share the Gospel is experiencing God's power, since that's what Romans 1:16 says it is.

These teams do much studying to be the leaders they are.
Studying can only get you so far...
There has to be action...

As stated in the overview, the groups go out weekly into the city, praying for and witnessing to the lost.  This is not for the faint of heart.  We believe that though our city is important, it is also important for us to reach beyond where we are.
